About Me
Dr. Brian Bord is a cum laude graduate of Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC where he received his professional degree in September, 1999. Prior to that, he attended the State University of New York at Geneseo, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics at the time of his graduation. He worked as a Clinical Monitor Technician at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY for two years following his undergraduate education, during which time he was involved with the direct care of acute and chronic patients in an ICU setting. This served to kindle his passion for the healthcare field, and prompted him to return to school.
Dr. Bord has been in continuous active practice since March of 2000. He spent his first 4+ years caring for clients of all ages in Akron OH, during which time he received specialized training in extremity adjusting as well as case management techniques for personal injury and worker’s compensation clients. He moved to the Charleston area in July of 2004, where he was introduced to the integrated medical practice model and became familiar with a wide array of supplemental and “alternative” therapies utilized in conjunction with chiropractic to improve healing and patient satisfaction.
His technique has evolved over the years into an adjusting package that incorporates a full-spine, full-body approach. He utilizes low-force adjustments on highly specific contacts in order to be able to restore the integrity of the afflicted joints without having to rely on “assists” like table drops and instrumentation. He has an extremely thorough approach to assessing and treating every client, and takes pride in not only meeting, but exceeding patient expectations on a regular basis.
He currently resides in West Ashley. He is a happy and devoted husband, a proud father, a voracious reader, an unabashed technophile, a fan of board games and Marvel movies, and an unapologetic beer snob. He works out regularly, pretends to golf on occasion, loves all of his four-legged friends, and generally enjoys life.
